A wide suite of existing remote sensing, GIS and photogrammetric software, hardware and expertise is already in place and serves as a solid foundation for the new instrumentation and data processing needed. The Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies has 75 high performance (e.g. 2+ GHz, 1 GB RAM, 20 inch monitors) Windows XP remote sensing workstations running the full suite of PCI GeoMatics software including the full range of their photogrammetric solutions. The workstations are connected via 100 MB home-runs to four XP servers and four large Solaris servers with a total of more than seven terabytes of disk. A full range of peripherals is available including a Ziess photoscanner, E-scanners, three E-plotters and many printers. Twelve workstations will be equipped with Stereo Eyes and serve as photogrammetric workstations. In addition to PCI the Center supports an extensive range of software solutions including ENVI, IDRISII, Arc 8x, GeoMedia, Oracle 8i/9i, Splus, SAS, FME, SURFUR and many others.
