Mapping and GeoSciences Computer Lab, Ozark Hall

Located on the third floor, the Mapping and GeoSciences Computer Lab provides a state-of-the-art facility for undergraduate/graduate education and professional education short courses. In addition to 16 workstations in a classroom configuration, the lab has a black and white printer and an A/B sized color ink jet printer/plotter.

Regular university courses that focus on the use of GIS in a variety of applications are offered in the Mapping and Geosciences Lab in addition to a number of professional development courses.

The Northwest Arkansas EAST Training Center also on the third floor, provides students access to a number of different computer hardware and software systems and additional classroom facilities for professional development courses . Sketchup - Developed for the conceptual stages of design, SketchUp is powerful yet easy-to-learn 3D software. We think of it as the pencil of digital design. This award-winning software combines a simple, yet robust tool-set that streamlines and simplifies 3D design inside your computer. SketchUp is being used by anyone with the desire to Dream, Design or Communicate in 3D!

VRWORX - The VR Worx™ is our award-winning suite of VR authoring tools for QuickTime™. Engineered for Mac OS™ X and Windows™ XP, with a new streamlined and simplified user interface, it delivers powerful technology along with fresh advancements to its famous feature/function set.

Surfer - Surfer is a contouring and 3D surface mapping program that runs under Microsoft Windows. It quickly and easily converts your data into outstanding contour, surface, wireframe, vector, image, shaded relief, and post maps. Virtually all aspects of your maps can be customized to produce exactly the presentation you want. Producing publication quality maps has never been quicker or easier.

TerraSuite -

TerraBuilder - TerraBuilder allows users to create a photo-realistic, geographically accurate, 3D model of the earth for their geo-referenced applications. This component of Skyline's suite of products draws together data to create a 3D backdrop for overlay or addition of content using Skyline's authoring and editing tool, the TerraExplorer Pro.

Combining any number of aerial photos, satellite images, geographic terrain information, digital elevation models, and vector data, TerraBuilder enables quick and easy creation of large 3D Terra databases. With multiple import formats TerraBuilder can merge data of different resolution and sizes, re-project data into common reference projection and clip areas from selected sources for inclusion in the final database.

TerraBuilder is able to generate realistic, detailed scenes of any size. Once complete, the resulting Internet-enabled 3D Terra database can be enhanced with 2D and 3D dynamic or static objects, and streamed or delivered to end users.

TerraExplorer - TerraExplorer opens the door to the digital planet. Individual PC users can now experience fully interactive terrain viewing previously limited to users of costly 3D visualization systems. With Skyline's TerraExplorer, users can freely navigate over high resolution 3D world environments created with Skyline's Terra products. These photo-realistic, aerial image based terrains can be accessed over the Internet, over an intranet, or via DVD/CD-ROM.

TerraGate - TerraGate is designed to deliver Skyline digital earth data to thousands of clients simultaneously. TerraGate provides the platform for launching the many applications created using Terra development and editing tools. In conjunction with TerraBuilder , TerraDeveloper , and TerraExplorer Pro , TerraGate makes the digital earth accessible, and enables a geo-referenced backdrop for web-based applications.

Stereo Analyst - Stereo Analyst® is a 3D model generation, interpretation, measurement and visualization tool which uses stereo imagery to derive 3D information. It is used to create 3D models that are output to IMAGINE VirtualGIS® for presentation.

ArcView 3D Analyst - ArcView 3D Analyst software provides tools for three-dimensional modeling and analysis. You can create, analyze, and display surface data and other three-dimensional data. You already use maps to examine the spatial relationships in your data—now see the effect that mountains, valleys, building profiles, and other three-dimensional objects have on these relationships.

PhotoModeler - PhotoModeler is a powerful software product that calculates measurements and constructs 3D models from your photographs simply and easily.

Visual MODFLOW Pro - Visual MODFLOW Pro is the industry-standard for applications in 3D groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling. Visual MODFLOW Pro seamlessly integrates many powerful features within an easy-to-use graphical user interface.
