ArkansasView is a consortium of colleges, universities, K12 schools, other non-profit organizations, as well as state and federal agencies working within Arkansas. The consortium is dedicated to bringing about the wide application of remotely sensed data, and other earth science data products within the remote sensing and GIS communities of Arkansas.

CAST Acquires High Resolution Aerial Imaging System: In May 2006 the U of A’s Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies acquired a TerraHawk™ Aerial Imaging System.  The TerraHawk™ system is a low-cost, fully integrated sensor package for airborne imaging. The system features GPS navigation, automated camera/computer function and autonomous attitude control at NADIR view.
