Process Step:
Process Description:
Downloaded Arkansas portion as an ASCII ""txt"" file from United States Geological Survey GNIS data sets via anonymous FTP. The file was then converted into ""dbf"" format in Microsoft Access 97. The resultant file was imported into ArcView GIS 3.2 and converted into a point theme ""shp"" file. The final stage involved extraction of the points representing bends from the ""Feature"" field of the ""shp"" file.
