Abstract:
AHTD Average Daily Traffic Count for year end 2000 information. This dataset contains Average Daily Traffic Count indicators for the state roads in Arkansas and state roads with the Average Daily Traffic attached. This is an end of year data set that was pulled for the year 2000. The data originated from an Intergraph MGE project with a SQL-Server database.
Purpose:
The data provides Average Daily Traffic Count information for the state of Arkansas. The database provides locational information for use in local and regional cartographic and spatial analysis applications. It is the intention of the Arkansas State Land Information Board to facilitate dissemination of public data.

Process Description:
The Microstation Design files supplied by the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department were accessed in Geomedia Professional 4.0 using the CAD Server Schema utility. The data originally made use of a polyconic projection, NAD27, and were reprojected to Geographic (Lat. Long.), NAD83, during Geomedia's """"export to shapefile"""" process. Features were extracted according to the appropriate feature level. The design of the CAD Schema Definition File allowed similar features from each of the 75 counties to be exported simultaneously to the same shapefile.
