Abstract: The subject file contains location information for community colleges in the state of Arkansas. These locations were derived from 2001 Arkansas Department of Higher Education data.
Purpose:
The community colleges layer provides locational information and related attributes for use in the Arkansas Economic Development project. It is one of many geospatial variables compiled from FGDC
Framework Geodata designed to assist economic developers in Arkansas.
This twelve month project was funded by the Federal Geographic Data
Committee (FGDC).
The goal of this project is to demonstrate the usefulness of
Framework Geodata in supporting economic development decisions within
the Mississippi delta region of Arkansas. The original study area
representing twenty-seven counties in Arkansas was expanded due to
the availability of statewide datasets.
