and MrSID compressed DOQQs are now Available for download:
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
We are providing the DOQQs in an FTP-able format - as well as in GeoStor.
After you have selected the type of DOQQ a directory listing the files
under alphabetical directories will open in a new browser window.
Select the alpha directory of choice, then navigate to a file. Images
for the raw and compressed versions are listed by their Quad names
- followed by NW, NE, etc.
IMPORTANT DO NOT LEFT CLICK. Generally most IE browsers are set to
"Open and view" a TIFF. If your browser is so configured
it will attempt to view the tiff - this will take a REALLY long time.
If you browser is so configured, instead you MUST right click and
select "save target as" for Internet Explorer users or "save
as" for Netscape users. If you left click then most Internet
Explorer browsers will try to immediately open the file - instead
of downloading. It will take FOREVER for it to directly open the file.
