Undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Arkansas can take courses in GIS and related applications for university credit as part of several academic degree programs. CAST presently offers a sequence of classes that, taken along with related courses in cartography, remote sensing and image interpretation, and spatial statistics, provide the student with a range of career options. Although these classes are offered through the anthropology or geography departments, they are open to students from any discipline who plan to use GIS technologies in their work and research.
