GEOS 4413 - "Principles of Remote Sensing"
Fundamental concepts of remote sensing of the environment. Optical, infrared, microwave, LIDAR, and in situ sensor systems are introduced. Remote sensing of vegetation, water, urban landscapes, soils, minerals, and geomorphology is discussed. The course includes laboratory exercises in geomatics software and both remote and in situ sensor system field trips. Prerequisite(s): University science course. |
