Developing and Presenting Alternative Models - Coming Soon!

Topics will include:

Presentation of alternative models including a discussion of how the available data can be interpreted in multiple ways.

Hypothesis formulation from the models.

Issues surrounding accuracy and authenticity, related to model assessment, addressing possible outputs, extent that 3D reconstruction is possible from a 2D plan, how to represent 'unknowns' in the data set such as placement of windows and doors, furniture and decoration, and demonstration of the purpose of the 3D model and its accuracy in representing what is actually known about the architectural features it purports to recreate.

Model assessment, validation, and certification. This section will include discussion of consideration of the amount of (photo)realism required, conveyed, and the faithfulness of the model to archeological reality.
