SketchUp

SketchUp was applied the most frequently out of all the programs that were worked with throughout the course of the summer. The CADIS/CRATE team used it to construct, create, and assemble a 3-Dimensional model of buildings on Dickson and the Square in Fayetteville. First, building footprints are imported into SketchUp. Next, the buildings are "pulled up" to their correct heights and edited to look as they appear in the Pictometry satellite images. Finally, textures (edited photos of the building faces) are added to these sugar cubes. The end result is a highly detailed, textured, accurate model of master plan area.
