Cristina started working at CAST as a  Research Assistant in 2004 . She has a background in Geography and is working on a variety of projects utilizing geospatial technology. Between 2000-2004 she worked at the Soil Physics Lab at the University of Arkansas managing the soil surveys digitization project.

Cristina's projects at CAST include digitizing and managing the Arkansas soil surveys database, urban infrastructure projects with the Planning Group at the University of Arkansas Facilities Management, database management, storm-water runoff analysis, travel demand modeling with the Northwest Arkanas Regional Planning Commission, economic development mapping projects with the University of Arkansas Economic Development Institute and others. She has also been involved in outreach and education projects and programs at CAST.

Thesis: "Eutrophication in the Danube Delta, Romania:a temporal and spatial assessment using nitrogen, phosphorus and chlorophyll-A variation", 2000
B.A. in Geography, University of Bucharest, Romania, 1996

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
GIS applications for urban environments, storm water analysis, environmental applications; soils database development and analysis; water quality; trasportation modeling; web mapping; web development.
