John starting working at CAST in 1995.  He specializes in Geographic Information Systems, Cartography, and Remote Sensing.

Recent research projects include the Arkansas Watershed Information System, Arkansas Breeding Bird Atlas, Mesoamerican Visualization and Monitoring System,  and the University of Arkansas Spatial Library.

John provides technical support to University of Arkansas campus ESRI software users, and provides software and data support for a variety of geospatial software users in federal, state, local, and private organizations.

EDUCATION:

M.A. in Geography, University of Arkansas, 2003.

B.A. in Geography, University of Arkansas, 1997. 

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Geospatial interoperability; web mapping; GIS Application development; database design and development; automation; watershed analysis; transportation modeling.
