Katie specializes in 3D scanning applications in archaeology with research interests in aerial and satellite remote sensing and ground-based geophysics for archaeology. She is currently a research associate for the Digital Institute of Archaeology and instructs field schools and workshops in geomatics for archaeology including site and object 3D scanning, visualization, GIS, and photogrammetry. She has worked in Syria, Turkey, Peru, Egypt, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Botswana, Guatemala, Cyprus and her home in the desert southwest.
