Online Geospatial Courses

In conjunction with the EAST Initiative, CAST has developed a unique series of on-line courses known as the Geospatial Virtual Camp. These courses are focused on GPS hardware and software products sold by Trimble Navigation Ltd. and GIS products in Intergraph Corporation's GeoMedia family. Built on a custom web application server, these courses include:

• self-paced lessons
• sample workflows, with downloadable data
• pop-up interactive review questions
• end-of-module exams
• a site-wide search engine

These courses are currently used by a wide range of students, ranging from undergraduate and graduate students at the University to the much younger students of the EAST Initiative. All benefit from the self-paced nature and the objective exams. Anyone on the Web is free to use the site, though exams are accessible only to UA or EAST students.
