CAST Collaboration with Arkansas' Tree Ring Laboratory

During the past 20 years of CAST's existance,  we have collaborated with many fellow U of A researchers.  We have found that these collaborative efforts are mutually beneficial, and have resulted in great opportunities for coupling our geospatial capabilities with the leading scientists on our campus such Dr. David Stahle.   Dr. Stahle is the director of one of the world leading research labs for Dendrochonological research.  His Tree Ring Laboratory at the University of Arkansas is one of the few labs of this type within the United States.

Cross Timbers Research project

Dr. Stahle was a founder of the Cross Timbers research project and CAST has been involved with this effort since its beginning.  The Cross Timber association is located within the eastern Oklahoma and extreme Western Arkansas and it contains some our nations oldest, standing Post Oaks. More information can be found at the Cross Timbers website
