Endemism - range size rarity
Counts the range-size rarity scores for taxa recorded per grid cell. Rarity is used in the sense of restricted range size, which is usually measured as area of occupancy in numbers of grid cells within the map area, with no direct reference to local abundance. For two commonly used approaches to measuring rarity using this approach, see Gaston (1994).
