Notes:
  • Begun in 1964 the 1:25 000 Topographic Mapping Project to cover the entire country was completed in 1983.
  • This map series is the largest scale national base map covering the entire country.
  • Intended to provide basic land information for research, administrative planning, education and recreation, and to act as base maps for other maps.
  • The average mean area of a sheet is about 100 sq meters.
  • By 1997, revision methodology to be completely digital.
