Notes:
- It is the object of a project begun in 1989 by the Geographical Survey Institute (GSI). The goal was to produce digital map data at scales varying from 1:500 to 1:2 500 to 1:10 000 from Basic Surveys conducted by GSI and from Public Surveys conducted by local governments.
- Non-topological digital data.
- The collection of paper maps and subsequent digitization of the digital portion of this database has been discontinued. It has been superceeded by the development of the partially topological "Geospatial Data Framework."
- Completed portions were open to the public beginning in 1993.
