The Data Set:
These layers were produced as part of a
Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)-funded project
to assess "The Effects of Agriculture on Cultural Resources in America".
In this first phase, the analysis was performed at the national-scale with information represented at county level. The
study area was restricted to counties recorded as having
at least 15% farmland. and to non-federal land.
Federal land areas have been estimated from National Resources Inventory data by the NRCS Headquarters.
