The goal of the Arkansas GeoLibrary is to assist consumers and producers of spatial data in locating, retrieving, and documenting Arkansas geodata. The Library is housed at the Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies, University of Arkansas, Fayettevi lle, and currently contains documentation of a portion of the spatial data archive at CAST. The Library provides you with tools for browsing our data catalog, for searching our metadata clearinghouse node, for downloading metadata and where possible, spat ial data. The Arkansas GeoLibrary is continuously being updated and enhanced, so if you don't find what you need today, please return at a later date or email your questions and suggestions to the Library.

The formal metadata at this site is compliant with The Federal Geographic Data Committee Content Standards for Digital Geospatial Metadata. Plea se note that while browsing various pages at the CAST web site you may encounter references to 'metadata'. In most cases this refers to informal, legacy metadata that in all likelihood does not comply with the FGDC standards.

Browse the Arkansas GeoLibrary Catalog: The Catalog contains data descriptions, links to metadata, preview graphics, indices, documentation , and FTP access to selected data layers.

Search the Arkansas Geospatial Clearinghouse Node: The purpose of this repository is to provide users of spatial data with information abou t data resources throughout the state. The Clearinghouse gateway is designed to search Arkansas metadata records by thematic keyword, bounding coordinates, or temporal parameters.

GeoStor is an on-line data delivery system that allows the user seamless access to digital map data (GeoData) of any area in Arkansas with no subscription fee.

Contribute documentation of your spatial data to the Arkansas Clearinghouse. Agencies and organizations that collect, use, and maintain digital geospatial data are encouraged to use the Clearingh ouse capabilities at the Center to publicize their data holdings. The Clearinghouse node does not contains data itself. It contains only data descriptions and information on how to obtain the data. Contact us for more information.
