.NOTICE: The SOD software was written in FOXPRO for DOS, in 1994. This software WILL NOT RUN in a Microsoft WINDOWS environment! There are NO current plans to upgrade this software to the WINDOWS environment. The software is still available for downloading BUT will not run unless you have a computer running DOS 3.2!
Version 1.04 of the SOD program.
Assuming that your floppy drive is A:, Insert a blank diskette (disk 1) and move your mouse so that the cursor/pointer is over batcmd.exe. Press the right mouse button and scroll down to Save Link As…
1)download batcmd.exe and save as A:\batcmd.exe (38KB).
Next, move your mouse so that the cursor/pointer is over install.bat. Press the right mouse button and scroll down to Save Link As…
2)download install.bat and save as A:\install.bat (7KB).
Repeat above instructions for the remaining files.
3)download pkunzip.exe and save as A:\pkunzip.exe (29KB).
4)download sodkit.zip and save as A:\sodkit.zip (632KB).
5)download version.txt and save as A:\version.txt (1KB).
Insert blank diskette (disk 2),
1)download batcmd.exe and save as A:\batcmd.exe (38KB).
2)download foxkit.zip and save as A:\foxkit.zip (909KB).
3)download install.bat and save as A:\install.bat (7KB).
4)download pkunzip.exe and save as A:\pkunzip.exe (29KB).

Version 1.04 corrects many of the mistakes in previous versions and adds the capability of using direct entry digital electronic calipers and bone board. Click here for DataQ software installation instructions.
If you have version 1.03 or the updates which bring you to version 1.03 and have entered data you will have to follow certain procedures to protect your data as some of it will be overwritten by the update. These procedures are described in the SOD version 1.04 update enclosure.
If you have earlier versions of SOD, but have not entered any data or much data you might wish to just dispose of the earlier versions on your computer and reinstall the program.
