Reference: Dalan, R. A. (1997). Geophysical Tests at Fort Scott National Historic Site, Kansas. Office of Contract Archaeology, Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Edwardsville, Illinois. Submitted to National Park Service, Denver, Colorado.

Measurements of volume magnetic susceptibility with the Bartington Susceptibility Meter and Field Coil. The highest readings were observed along Line 16E. This transect cuts through the supposed locations of the latrine and a structure (at the north end of the transect). The highest values were observed north of the latrine and within the area of this structure. Lower, more similar values were obtained along Lines 6E and 10E.
