Magnetic anomalies possibly relating to the nineteenth century boyhood home of Booker T. Washington. The anomalies in the northwesternmost portion of the grid may relate to the location of the Burroughs house. They occur in an area where a structure is present in a 1937/8 aerial photograph. There is also a linear anomaly in this area that may represent a lane connecting the Burroughs residence and farm to the main road to the north. The Burroughs Cemetery shows up as a series of weaker anomalies at the south end of the grid. Some of these may realate to nails in the existing fence posts for a rail fence surrounding the cemetery. The strong anomalies at the southeasternmost portion of the grid are caused by a steel culvert and cut bank.
