Magnetic Susceptibility samples were collected in 2cm intervals in two profiles at Site 5LA3421 in Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site, Las Animas County Colorado. One profile was from a stratigraphic trench in a cutank on the right side of Big Water Arroyo. The second profile was from the north wall of Test Unit 3 in area D near the rock shelter. The samples were packed in plastic cubes and weighted. Both the low frequency and high frequency readings were recorded and the mass susceptibility and frequency dependence between the two readings were calculated. Slight increases in frequency dependence and mass susceptibility in both profiles suggested the potential for buried or developed soil layers.
