The Canon PowerShot A70 and the Canon XL-1 and Panasonic AG-DVC30 MiniDV digital video cameras Still-shot imagery of the sites is acquired using a Canon PowerShot A70 digital camera. The PowerShot A70 is a simple, easy to use “point and shoot” camera with 3.2 megapixel resolution. Any digital camera with 3.0+ resolution is suitable for acquiring site photos. The images taken with the camera are used to create realistic textures for the 3D site environments. |

| Digital video of each site is produced using either the Canon XL-1 or Panasonic AG-DVC30 video cameras. Both cameras use a 3-chip (CCD) light capture system to produce high-quality digital imagery of outdoor scenes in the MiniDV format. Tape editing can be done on any nonlinear digital editing system. Video clips are used to document the environmental settings of the rock art sites. | |||||
