This photograph shows the archeological laboratory
where volunteers and Arkansas Archeological survey staff process
excavated materials. Visitors
can watch research in progress, and see firsthand the results of
careful analysis. Archeology can tell us much about the site and its
inhabitants that we could not know otherwise. As research continues, we
will learn more about the original residents of Parkin and their

The Parkin Visitor Information Center is located on the north edge of the
city of Parkin at the junction of Highway 64 and 184. Parkin is 12 miles
north of Interstate 40 on Highway 75.
